Totalcare

Académie Totalcare in Co Tipperary is running a range of courses in 2022 in electrolysis, advanced aesthetics, photoepilation and photorejuvenation, cosmetology, waxing and thermocoagulation. Style Parlor

Syle Parlor is running a Certificate in Barbering course in its Waterford academy. Beginning on 26 January for 10 weeks, the €1,195 fee includes a barber training kit. A blended learning approach will see the programme combine both online and in-classroon training. styleparlor.ie

Alfaparf Milano

Accademia has launched its Alfaparf Milano education calendar 2022, which includes a range of colour-related courses, such as colour correction, highlighting, balayage and ombré. Also on the training programme are the master colour degree and master refresher courses, the NEXXT generation stylist cutting levels 1-9, and a selection of courses on upstyling, blow-drying and barbering. The Beauty School

The Beauty School has a number of training days taking place in its academies in Warrenpoint, Co Down and Carrigaline, Co Cork throughout January. Schwarzkopf Professional

Schwarzkopf Professional’s Ask Academy has a number of courses taking place in Capital Hair & Beauty in Dublin in early 2022. A one-day All About BlondMe is being held on 24 January, which will feature information on the brand’s patented bonding technologies, along with trending shades and placements. An All About Colour Correction Course is running on 28 February, which is a one-day theory class dedicated to processes such as rebalancing, lightening and pre-pigmentation. Lauren Malone Academy

Lauren Malone Academy in Gorey, Co Wexford runs a part-time, 16-week iTEC Certificate in Make-up course. With three day-time or evening options, the next classes will begin on 28 February, 1 March and 5 March. Costing €1,000, this includes a starter make-up kit, brush set, uniform, and professional photoshoot. L'Oréal Access

Taking place in the L'Oréal Dublin Academy on 26 and 27 April, the Principles of Design course is designed to teach stylists of all levels how to recreate any look based on Redken Principles. They will learn how to customise the latest trends to each client’s face shape, and understand sections, lines and angles that will assist in creating the perfect haircut. Bridal upstyling

Hair stylist and educator Gemma Crossan has created a five-day bridal masterclass for qualified stylists and experienced bridal stylists. With the next courses starting on 21 February, 28 February and 7 March in Gemma Crossan Hair Salon, Ballisadare, Co Sligo, topics covered include managing an annual bridal planner, scheduling bridal trials, seasonal looks and building a social media profile. Wella

Wella Professional’s Education Yearbook 2022 includes hairdresser Jordanna Cobella’s Signature Masterclass, which will take place in Wella Studio Dublin on 14 February. Entitled ‘Blondes Mean Business’, the one-day craft-level course will focus on the profitability of blonding services, and how to use them to grow a column and profile. As part of the course, Cobella will invite colourists to explore the world of blondes, and discover both the creative and technical processes behind building a successful blonde business. education.wella.com

ATAI

Aesthetic Training Academy Ireland (ATAI) has a range of training courses beginning in the New Year, including the iTEC Level 4 Diploma in Laser & Light Treatments, which starts on 25 January. Covering laser hair removal, skin rejuvenation, vascular therapy, skin cooling systems, electromagnetic radiation and specific skin complaint treatments, this programme is delivered in a long-course format of 10 classes, with practical case studies and the opportunity to shadow a practitioner. Gainfort Academy

Gainfort Academy in Wexford has a range of courses beginning in 2022, including the iTEC Level 2 Diploma for Beauty Specialists, which will cover a range of treatments, such as manicure and pedicure, waxing and professional conduct, and spray tanning.
