IT'S SHOW TIME

After a three-year wait, we’re counting down the days to the return of Professional Beauty/Hairdressers Journal Ireland. From product launches to live stages, here’s a taste of what’s in store at Dublin’s RDS on 6-7 November 

B38 milk_shake will be showcasing its new The Gloss demi-permanent Marble Collection shades, which are dedicated to toning light blonde and platinum blonde hair. Visit the stand to learn more about The Gloss, along with the full range of shampoos, treatments, styling products and colours.

D24 Opatra will be launching a number of products, including its Dome Facial Skin Analyser. Measuring the surface and subsurface of the skin using digital imagery, this system captures multispectral photos of the face, examining the complexion for fine lines, wrinkles, spots, pores, texture, porphyrins, UV spots, moisture and pigmentation.

C28 Visit the Eminence Organic Skin Care stand to find out more about this award-winning phytoceutical brand. Its products are handmade, without any severe heating or hydrogenating processes. Vitamins are captured in their all-natural fresh base, promising visible results as seeds, pulps and peels impart regenerative and healing powers that only nature can produce.

D32 Drop by the iTEC stand to find out how to upskill your staff through accredited courses, elevating your beauty business in process. Meanwhile, if you’ve started creating your own courses, the team will also be on hand to talk about the awarding body’s new accreditation service.

D52 Among the launches from Totalcare are its new inflationproof payment plans and TikTok-friendly professional skincare made in France. The company will also be demonstrating new face and body care devices, while its post-graduate training school will be accepting enrolment for its 2023 advanced and internationallyaccredited courses.

B37 Come and meet Captain Fawcett for the launch of the brand new line of hair pomades, which includes Classic Pomade, Gloss Finish Clay Pomade and Matt Finish Strong Pomade. The range has been created with old-school panache, and joins Captain Fawcett’s other collections of men’s grooming essentials.

C36 Visit the Beauty Buddy stand to hear about how this app offers product market research through the company’s sampling squad, who are a community of exclusive Beauty Buddies dedicated to using and reviewing products. Aiming to to help you drive sales through trusted peer reviews, the platform also gives relevant insights through next-generation customer data, gathered directly from clients through Beauty Buddy. Founded by sisters Wendy Slattery and Tracy Leavy, who raised funding from Enterprise Ireland and angel investors to build the app, its aim is to bring consumers and cosmetics companies together, with the common goal of finding the right products for the right users.

F15 Blumáin Organic Skincare will be exhibiting a range of its award-winning products, including its Geranium & Bamboo Facial Polish, which contains finely-ground bamboo powder to gently buff the skin, working as both a physical and chemical exfoliant. Founded by Sinéad Murphy, she started the business in the workshop of her Finishing Touch Beauty Salon in Ballydesmond in Co Cork because she wanted to provide her clients with affordable, results-driven skincare products. She will be on hand at this year’s show to showcase a range of her brand’s offerings, which are all certified by the Irish Organic Association.

B41 Stop by the Uppercut Deluxe stand to see the brand’s limited edition Pink Motel Matt Pomade. Featuring the same ingredients – which have been specially formulated to give hair a medium hold, along with a natural, matt finish – Pink Motel is also water-soluble and has an updated fragrance. With the container design featuring pastel shades and iconic imagery, this new collector’s edition pays homage to the cult classic Eighties skater movie.

F23 Now the Irish distributor of Thermavein, Eden Beauty Group will be showcasing the vein removal treatment, as MD Susan Fox will be joined by Thermavein’s clinical director Dr Arturo Almeida, who will explain how the device can benefit your clinic and clients. The cosmetic vein treatment system is used to address issues such as facial thread veins, milia (small white dots that are usually on the face), skin tags, Campbell-de-Morgan spots (red dots or bumps on the body), blackheads and ankle thread veins (in combination with microsclerotherapy). Fox will also be joined by Claudio Massoli, MD of Rejuv Laser, for Eden Beauty Group’s launch of the Cutislift Radio Frequency Microneedling treatment.

A38 Visit the Depot stand to find out more about the brand’s male grooming range. From hair, shaving and beard products, to skincare, body care and lifestyle lines, Depot covers all aspects of the ever-evolving men’s style and wellbeing market.

E18 Lasertec Medical Services is introducing JetPeel by TavTech to the Irish aesthetic market at this year’s show. Utilising jet propulsion technology for needleless, pain-free, non-invasive, non-ablative, trans-epidermal delivery, the patented technology enables aesthetic practitioners to perform anti-ageing and rejuvenation treatments in four steps, combining the benefits of lymphatic drainage, extractions, exfoliation and mesotherapy in a customisable, touchfree procedure. C32 Visit the Trends Beauty Distribution stand to learn more about how you can boost retail sales with some of the company’s brands. These include Beauty Jar, which combines natural ingredients and handmade production with an eco-friendly approach; and The Gift Label, which is an Amsterdam-based lifestyle brand that creates original and well-designed gifts.

C26 Eyelash specialist Pinkfishes has partnered with Flair Hair and Beauty Supplies, and both companies will be at this year’s event to showcase a variety of best-selling products, including the PF PRO Enhance line of lashes and The Russian Range, which are designed to mimic Russian/ volume eyelash extensions.

F34 Kilkenny College of Beauty and Sports Therapy will be at this year’s show to launch its new dermaplaning course, which is the latest addition to the range of advanced courses already taught at the college. Suitable for Level 3-qualfied therapists, other courses available include microneedling, chemical peels, laser, microdermabrasion, hybrid tinting, brow lamination, lash extensions, gel nails and complementary therapies.

F31 Stop by the Poko stand to find out more about this awardwinning, cruelty-free skincare brand, which offers innovative solutions using CBD and other ingredients to manage a number of conditions, such as acne, rosacea, psoriasis, signs of ageing and dryness. Created from a passion to improve problematic skin and address hormonal breakouts using a blended approach, the brand will be showcasing its capsule collection.

C38 The Treatwell team will be on hand to showcase the Treatwell Pro platform, which it launched in Ireland earlier this year. Designed to fully support the needs of salon professionals with improved functionality, it features an advanced digital calendar, marketing and promotion tools, insightful reporting and analytics, and intelligent payment systems. It also comes with free SMS reminders to avoid no-shows, and is intergrated with Reserve With Google, Facebook, Instagram and Apple Maps to ensure maximum online visibility. The company promises to demonstrate how Treatwell Pro can run your business, so you have more time to focus on client experiences.

A32 Stop by the Primalash stand to learn more about the lash brand’s latest innovations, including its technologicallyadvanced vegan and sustainable lashes. Founded over seven years ago, the company has a wide variety of lash solutions, with products that cater to every style, budget, occasion and client. At this year's show it will be offering a range of professional discounts, along with lash tutorials.

E53 Cocochoco will be at the show to exhibit some of its most advanced treatments, which combine vegan and natural ingredients to give long-lasting results. Established in 1997,the company began as a technology-driven manufacturer of professional haircare products, and 25 years later, it now specialises in Brazilian keratin hair straightening, following decades of research and development. Its treatment promises to revitalises and rebuild hair, without changing its natural structure, while its keratin is also nontoxic, cruelty-free and does not include formaldehydes, sulphates or parabens. With a focus on supporting its customers, Cocochoco also offers an accredited training course through its academy.

D22 Visit the Egoist Beauty stand to find out more about the award-winning Irish company’s growing range. As well as lash and beauty products, it offers over 170 colours of gel polish, including builder gels, along with cuticle oils and hard bases. All products undergo testing and are reviewed by the the in-house team of trainers before going to market.

A16 Visit the Brian Mullins Insurance Brokers stand to meet the company’s malpractice team. Offering affordable, tailored policies for hair and beauty businesses, clients are welcome to stop by for advice on all their insurance needs.

A36 Tilly Lash will be showcasing its 100% crueltyfree brand at this year’s show. With a focus on quality, all Tilly Lash products are carefully sourced, with its strip lashes hand-picked and ranging in styles from a natural look to full glam, and to suit all ages.

A42 Visit the Reuzel stand to see TAT, its new tattoo advanced treatment range. The brand is offering four products to protect tattoo colour. The line-up includes Buff – Exfoliating Wash; Hydrabalm – Revitalize & Replenish; Vivid Gel – Instant Color Boost; and Shine – Tattoo Spray, a non-greasy, quick-dry formula to add definition and radiance to a healed tattoo. All the proudcts are designed to work together to help tattoos look as good as new.

C28 New Irish beauty tech company Cosaint Skincare will be at this year’s show exhibiting its range of devices, including the Cleansing Brush and Under-Eye Toner, the Ultrasonic Skin Peeler and the EMS and LED Eye Toner. With Lucy Kennedy as brand ambassador, the Cosaint line offers salons the opportunity to have a tech retail add-on to their business, giving clients the experience of an extra dimension to their homecare routines.

E4 Stop by the Meraki Professional stand to learn more about this brand, which was formulated by professional nail technicians to ensure longevity, high performance and durable, long-lasting nails. At this year’s show, the company is launching its QUICKTIP system, which promises to reduce treatment time, thereby increasing your profits.

C37 The Popławska Group, which is a Polish producer of professional cosmetics, cosmetic devices and disposable accessories, will be exhibiting a range of its brands at the show. Among these is Clarena, which has a wide variety of products for all skin types, that are formulated with high concentrations of innovative active ingredients that have the ability to work in conjunction with cosmetic equipment. The company will also be showcasing Rubica, a brand of professional devices and disposable products for use in every beauty salon. These include cosmetic swabs, caps and surgical scarves to ensure hygiene, comfort and safety for all clients.
