TAKING TO THE STAGE

1 Skin and Advanced Treatments Stage

Whether you want to enhance your treatment menu and add aesthetics, or learn about skin rejuvenation or microneedling from the most experienced in the industry, this platform’s two-day programme will cover everything you need to know.

Among the industry names taking to the stage are Dr Almeida Arturo, an internationally renowned keynote speaker, medical trainer and expert in minimally invasive and non-surgical cosmetic procedures. Also an experienced consultant surgeon, Dr Arturo began his career in aesthetic medicine in 2007, first with cosmetic and varicose vein procedures, and later with a wide range of facial treatments.

Also appearing on the Skin and Advanced Treatments Stage is Annalouise Kenny, skin specialist, and founder and CEO of Skin Philosophy Training, which is dedicated to providing training to beauty therapists in advanced skin treatments. With a background in laser and skin peels, Kenny will speak about combination therapy, which involves incorporating a number of different treatments into one.

Meanwhile, Oncology Training International’s Louise O’Loughlin will talk about oncology aesthetics, and advise on ways you can add this service onto your treatment menu.

Other topics being covered on this stage are therapist burnout, starting your own business, managing finances, and recruiting and retaining good staff. So whatever area of beauty and spa that you work in, there’s something for everyone on this exciting platform.

2 Hair and Barbering Stage

The Hair and Barbering Stage, presented by Hairdressers Journal and Modern Barber, has a talented line-up planned for the two-day show.

Among the experts sharing their knowledge are Richard Correia, who is a Brazilian stylist now based in Dublin. Catering for clients with a wide variety of tastes, Correia will demonstrate his balayage techniques, which you can take back to your own salon.

Also making an appearance are Marina Hayes, owner of The Confession Box in Waterford; and Shaun Moriarty, owner of The Greene Room, which has salons in Killaloe, Co Clare and Nenagh, Co Tipperary.

Meanwhile, Jolene McCarthy, who owns The Hair Room in Blanchardstown in Dublin, will do an extension makeover using a weave, which is a sustainable option for clients.

Barbering tips over the two days will be shared by Robert Flanagan, Paul Taylor-Clinch, Rob Donohue and Luke Dolan. From fades and flattops, to beard trims and bold colour work, they will be using their skills to bring a range of looks to life.

With hairdressing and barbering sharing one platform this year, this stage is going to jam-packed with must-see demonstrations, presentations and live styling. If you want to stay ahead of the curve and be prepared to meet all client requests, then you don’t want to miss a front row seat. Here is where you are guaranteed to get all the knowledge you need to take your own business to the next level.
