MAKE MAGIC!

Open to both students and professionals, there are a number of exciting categories to enter at this year’s Make-up Competitions at Professional Beauty & Hair

The Make-up Competitions return to this year’s Professional Beauty & Hair and will take place over the two days of the show.

Entrants will have the chance to show off their skills, talent and creativity, as they battle it out for the unique opportunity to raise their profile in the industry.

The Creative Front Cover category invites entrants to create a look with an Easter theme, which is worthy of a front cover. Detailed and intricate, impress showcase on your business Instagram page, and provide a short video reel or step-by-step imagery with your entry for evidence.

The Character category invites contestants to take a well-known character and give it your own personal twist. You must incorporate prosthetic pieces within your design, which are then to be coloured with either brush, sponge or airbrush.

Meanwhile, your task for the Best of Bridal category is to create a look for our judges with your eye for colour and creativity.

The theme for the Bodypaint category is Irish Folklore, so entrants can look to banshees, fairies and other mythological creatures for inspiration. Our judges will be keeping an eye out for exceptional brush, sponge or airbrush work, combined with costume, headpiece and innovative use of props.

The theme for the Insta Make-up category is A Pop of Red. Create a photo that you would be proud to your client on their big day. Whether your bride wants old Hollywood glamour, or would like something traditional, create a look that will capture their essence with flawless make-up, hair, nails and styling, which works well both at a distance and up-close.

Entry fees are €35 for professionals and €20 for students. Stay tuned to our website professionalbeauty.ie/show for further details, which will be revealed in the coming weeks.
